Hey ya'll!
I am an applicant who applied to UT Health Science center for the Fall of 2017. I found the allnurses forum so useful for all of the students that were currently going through the same process was.
I wanted to start another forum for the next year for all the applicants so they were able to share ideas, stats, background etc.
So i'll start:
HESI A2:
A&P 80
Math 98
Grammar 94
Reading 92
Vocab 96
I have a previous degree from Texas State University in Psychology (Bachelors).
Science GPA: 3.812
Nursing Pre-req: 3.512
Cumulative (155hrs): 3.2
I hope this helps and you get as much out of this as I did. I met some really awesome people on here who are all on the journey to becoming great nurses. Don't hesitate to say hi!
That was the plan, but I do not think I am. My HESI score was a 85.6% overall and for that I do not think I have a chance to even be considered. I'v completed all of the prerequisites with 3 B's (History 1&2, and Psyc) and the rest with A's, so that is a good thing. Still, sort of disappointed with myself because I know I could have done better with HESI.
Hello everyone.. could someone please help me out on how to reapply? I'm trying to input the same username I used for Fall 2017's application but I don't see an option on how to do it. It only lets me create a new application with a new email, etc.. did anyone or is anyone having this same problem?
So I had the same issue when I reapplied for the Fall semester. I contacted the help desk and they gave me my ID. Here is the link. Try using this:
https://apply.uth.tmc.edu/psp/applyuth/APPLYUTH/ENTP/h/?tab=UT_EP_NVT_APPLYUTH
Basically you are going to use your email that you used last time and then the same password and you should be good to go. If you need them to reset your password you just contact the help desk and they will reset it. Hope this helps.

NO! You should definitely reapply. There were people that got in with 85's or less last semester. As long as none of your sections were less than 80 you should be fine! Don't let that discourage you from trying.
I'm applying as well. I just took the HESI A2 today and got a ..... *DRUMROLL*
96% overall.
92% Reading
94% Grammar
94% Vocabulary
100% A&P
100% Math
My nursing prereq GPA (excluding American and Texas Gov, Philosophy, Art, and the 5 credit elective b/c I'm not sure what would be counted) is 3.42
and my science GPA is 3.88.
The downside is that I have 2 Fs and a D+ on my transcript but the Fs are gonna be replaced with the D+ I mentioned and a B.
The D+ won't count against me (in the sense that it won't disqualify my application and it doesn't seem to affect my GPA very much at this point) but I'm still hopeful about being admitted.
Really? I am sure they got accepted because it was the summer term. And Yes, I passed all the sections with 80 up! with AP being my highest (100%) Hmmm maybe I should apply? You just never know. Thanks for restoring some hope in me lOl
Oh no! This was for the fall term (2017). AND YOU GOT A 100 in A&P? DEFINITELY apply. You got this. I think you should for sure do it. I don't really know what your other stats are but based upon your HESI scores that does not count you out by any means.

If that is the case, I should absolutely apply. What other stats do they look at? And for some strange reason, I think I might have taken the wrong HESI A2 version. I say this because under the current UT ID department code, which is the one I signed up under, it appears that it is for A-2 V-2 when I input it again though the Prometric test-taking system. OMG I believe I just might have taken the version 2 HESI. Is this even possible? I've never took the HESI prior. IDK I could just be totally wrong.

Hmmmm, that's what I was going to ask. But since you have never taken it before I'm not sure what that would mean exactly. As long as you have the correct UT Health School Code (FOR HOUSTON) then you should be fine. You took the five sections right? Why don't you call Prometric and ask what that means. It may just be a version of the test. I would think you would be okay though.
