Since the application due date is only a little over two months away, I figured I'd start a chat for applicants applying to Suffolk County Community College Spring 2021 nursing program! Just curious what other peoples stats / TEAS / rubric scores are! Good luck in advance to everyone applying!

How's general Microbiology online?

I just started it this week and so far so good! My professor is very organized so that's helping me a lot. It is definitely strange not being on campus and I would have preferred to be in person for it but I think it is manageable. If for some reason we aren't allowed back on campus for fall semester, I definitely think you can do it from home.

I definitely miss being on campus, but I agree that doing it online is manageable.

I miss being on campus too. It's been a hard adjustment doing everything online since I definitely learn better in a classroom setting ?

Hi everyone! I reached out to the nursing department at Suffolk and did not get a response so I was wondering if any of you could help. I filled out the application and submitted my high school transcripts, college transcripts and TEAS score to the school. Is there anything else I have to submit? It feels like I am missing something. Is there an essay or anything else we have to do that I am missing? All of the other schools I’m applying to require an essay, letters or recommendation and an interview. Good luck everyone and thanks in advance!

I believe decisions for acceptance/denial are made sometime next month. It looks like you've did your part already. I don't think you need to write an essay, or obtain letters of recommendation, or be interviewed. It's basically now just a waiting game. What program did you apply to? I applied to the LPN-RN program, but I also have my eyes on the program at Nassau Community College as a 2nd choice. Good luck to you!
Thanks for your help Tiffany. I’m applying to the evening RN program. I’m also applying to Farmingdale(which is my first choice) and stonybrook. I am thinking about sending an application to Nassau Community College, but I live in eastern Suffolk so Nassau is my last resort

You're welcome! I live in Riverhead, so I'm not to thrilled about driving to Garden City, but in the end it will all be worth it. I was even thinking about attending college in the city, as some of the schools there are cheaper than Long Island. But safe to say, I think I'll stay on Long Island for now. ?
