Hey,
I thought I would take Thrashej's advice and start a new thread.....I know we have some people that are also starting out at PC in the spring so I titled it "Spring Starters"......
Is there anyone else who will be starting nursing school in the Spring?

Our NS start in January and August--Spring/Fall respectively. Hey, what can you expect, this is Arizona...January IS spring to us!
Did you say it right....January of '09? That's three years from now!

Hello, I start in the Spring as well and getting anxious. I am in the MCC-Boswell program. I have heard a lot of really good things about their program so I am really happy I got in there. Now I'm just waiting for some kind of info so I can start pricing out my books, making doctors appointments, etc. I called today because I couldn't take it anymore and she said she put the packets in the mail on Friday so hopefully I'll get it today or tomorrow. The only class I'm currently taking is Patho at PC.
I'm starting to get really excited now! I ordered most of my books yesterday so I should have them next week. I also ordered my steth over the weekend and they shipped it yesterday. I should get it by friday. I love getting new "toys" lol!

You can kind of get an idea of what your books are going to cost you by checking out the booklist for the current semester. Just go to efollet.com and select your school. I think the books generally cost the same for all of the schools in the MCCD system, around 500-600.....I'm guessing with books, tuition, and supplies, this semester will cost around 1500-1600.....Mary

Hi all, I can't wait to order my books too, but am holding off a little bit for them. I also want to order/get my steth, but I need to try some out. Thrashej, how do you like yours? I know I want a Littman, but still not sure which one yet.
I'm trying to get my financial aid paperwork in so that I can apply for a student loan. Geesh, it sure takes a long time!!! I applied for a PIN last week and still have not received it yet.
GCC students- are your classes showing up under your name yet? I was just wondering if I got the classes I asked for, but I just enrolled today, and when I called to see if they've input the classes yet, the NS said they're not in yet. I turned in my choices last week, so I guess this is probably a little quick, I was just trying to pay before the purge date, I would hate to get dropped just because of something like that...

I forgot to add...
Mary, I'm taking the math class at GCC, it's on the same day as my registration appointment will be so I figured that since I was there I might as well take it. Thanks anyway.

Hey Keli,
When areyou taking the class? You'll have to let me know how it went....
I have a quick question...which books from our pre reqs are you keeping and which ones are you selling back? I know that keeping the Anatomy and Patho books are a given, but is anyone hanging on to their Micro book or Math books?
I normally hate to part with any books but i figure If I can trade in some old ones for new Nursing books why not?
We have registration either the 5 or the 6th of Jan, and the class is the 5-6 of Jan, so I figured I'd already be there one of those days, I might as well take the class and maybe meet some of my fellow students. I'll definitely let you know how it went!!
I can't believe they haven't done the run yet today!! There's one opening for MCC and I have a friend who hasn't been placed so I've got my fingers crossed for her and I keep checking to see if they've done it yet....
