I ended up just calling and speaking to a admissions counselor. She was able to give me both GPAs and tests scores they were using for my application. I have a feeling sometime around the 15-18 we will all know ! They seem to like those dates from previous application cycles!!

Agreed, that’s the best way. She said she would email me my stats when she returned to her desk on Friday. Nothing I can do in the mean time ?

Actually, we started hearing back about ABSN on Oct 3 last year. They told us it would be mid-October before everyone knew, but they rolled the acceptances and waitlist emails out over a week or so. It was torture. And there were waves of acceptances, followed by waitlists, followed by more acceptance letters. I’ve given up trying to figure out their system! ? It’s going to be a bumpy week or two. We literally could be hearing any day now. (Or it could be weeks ☹️). In June, we were counting on hearing by June 1 (because that’s what several previous cohorts had experienced), and it wasn’t until the late teens, I think, that we heard back. It gave some of us only 7-10 days to apply to this cohort. Sometimes the ELMSN forum can give you clues. They usually hear first. Good luck to everyone!

Looks like the ELMSN FNP candidates are still interviewing. I read October 3rd as an interview date. So based on that, guessing we still have a week, at least. But keep an eye on that forum because, historically speaking, they hear first, then ABSN, then the Bay Area BSN candidates hear last. Good luck guys. ??? I really hope it goes by quickly. For everybody’s sake! ?❤️

Ok now my anxiety just went up ! Lol best of luck to you this time around!!! I started my third application already for Oakland’s campus just in case because of the short noticed last time !! My fingers are crossed for both of us!!! ?????????

Hi everyone! I’m planning to go to San Mateo SMU campus since I live in Oakland. Which city are you guys from? If we ever get in, want to carpool? It will be a pain in the butt to wake up in the morning, but we’re doing it together! I don’t know if there’s a commuting route from Oakland-Sacromento...

Oh wow! That would be such a drive. Are there applicants from applicants applying to Sac or Sac applying to Oakland?

More like a commute. It’s such a risk to drive across the bay without getting into traffic. I’m planning to apply to ABSN to Oakland, too! In case I don’t get into Spring 2030.

Oh okay. Wheatland is home for me for Sac is the only option for me.

Has anyone else been on edge? Because I sure am. I spoke with an admission counselor today and was informed that the application review process is still going. However, applications decisions should be coming out within the next two weeks. Wishing everyone the best!

Yes! I'm on edge as well! Especially because I have to get back to another school in a couple weeks to secure my seating yet might not even know whether I got into SM or not. And this other school starts in February! I think the selection process in SM is quite extensive and does not give you a lot of time before classes start ? They also do not give you as much follow up on your status, unfortunately. Fingers crossed!

Hi everyone,

Just waiting patiently over here! I have been checking into the Spring BSN feed as well and a lot of those applicants have mentioned receiving emails from SMU, such as the second stage of application process notification, as well as an email about "waiting being the hardest part." Anyone else get something like these? I'm a little concerned because I'm not getting any emails at all....

Hi JulieB,

In my experience, the ABSN program applicants only get 2 emails. One that says you’ve made it through the preliminary review and then the final email notifying you of acceptance/denial/waitlist status. Don’t worry about not receiving the same emails. All the programs operate differently. Hope that helps calm the nerves a bit! ?
