Hey everyone! This is my first time applying to Samuel Merritt. I applied to the Sacramento campus and received my preliminary review on July 17th!

Here are my stats:

science gpa: 3.5

last 60 gpa: 3.89

LORs: one from a professor and one from my volunteer coordinator at Kaiser

Experience: I am a registered EMT and a volunteer at Kaiser Permanente

Hello everyone ?

I applied to the Sac ABSN program.

It's weird, I don't think I've been receiving as much correspondence as others have. I never saw an email about the deadline being extended?? Hoping it doesn't mean something is wrong on my end. I got the confirmation email saying they had received my application, so hopefully that's good enough!

My current stats (minus the physiology class I'm taking this fall) are:

HESI: 92

Science GPA: 4.0

Last 90 quarter: 3.9

Good luck to everyone! Looking forward to meeting you. Also, I live in Nevada City and plan on commuting if anyone in the Foothills wants to carpool!

Hi everyone!

I applied for the San Mateo campus, though I’m not overly optimistic given my lack of healthcare experience and courses IP. Fingers crossed!

I noticed a few folks on the BSN board seemed to have an idea of how many people were in the applicant pool. Does anyone here have any indication of number of applicants for how many spots?

Also, any repeat applicants have a guess on when you expect to hear word?

Hi guys,

I have applied to Sacramento location. I just received one email so far on July 11 for the completion of preliminary review. Afterwards heard nothing. Not even for the deadline extension... so nervous.. does anyone knows when they start sending out the decision letters??

@SimranLast application cycle closed on April 1st. I was notified my waitlist status around mid June and others got their acceptance emails around the same time. So I would say mid October/ early November we should start receiving emails. So pretty much we sit and wait until then ! ?

Wooo... that’s really long processing time... and killing wait..... do u have any idea why they have extended the application deadline??? Also, did they send emails about it to all applicants??

From reading previous threads from other application cycles they usually extend deadline because they didn’t get enough applicants but I’m not ? % on that ??‍♀️. And I don’t think all applicants received an extended deadline email, I didn’t! I only knew about that extended deadline from here! Not sure why I didn’t get that email but I know all applicants will receive emails stating their waitlist status, denials or acceptance. But yes it is a long wait! After getting my preliminary review email I didn’t hear back from them until the waitlist email.

For reference: I applied for the Fall '19 Sacramento ABSN cohort, with our applications due April 1st. I was accepted during the 1st round of offers, which didn't occur until June 18th (if I recall). Good luck everyone!

Hi,

i wish We would know this, but I don’t this they release this kind of information.

Does anybody got any other email besides the preliminary review one?
