I don't know if a medical terminology class would be helpful, but I took A&P with almost zero bio background and no medical background and did very well. Granted, I didn't work much that semester and the only kids I have have four feet (plus a husband!). In general, AP takes a lot of study time. Algebra does too...in order to do well at math you should practice almost daily. I put in about 20 hours a week of study for AP and another 12 or so for algebra. Some people can study a lot less, but it all just really depends on how good your teachers are, how hard the exams are and how quickly you learn. I realize I was almost no help....sorry about that and good luck!

You could always start out with all of those classes and then drop one once you see how it goes.

I don't think it's necessary to take a medical terminology class before you take anatomy. I took medical terminology *after* I took A&P, and while my knowledge of anatomy helped a lot, most of the medical terms and conditions were new to me. I don't think you need to delay A&P by a semester in order to take medical terminology first when it will not help you out significantly.

Are you good at math? I am taking college algebra online this semester, and it is really frustrating. I also took Probability & Statistics online, but I found it so much easier than College Algebra. I have an A average thus far, but it is requiring a lot of effort on my part. I typically spend 2-3 hours on each section, and I do about 4 sections each week. Have you ever taken another math class online? If you have and did well in it, you should be able to pull an A in College Algebra.

You don't need medical terminology for Anatomy. You just need lots of time (and I do mean lots!) to memorize. I'm currently taking A&P, Micro, Micro Lab, Cell Bio & Cell Lab and keeping A's in them all, BUT I don't work and I have one child 7 years old who is in school most of the day.

Just my opinion, but it sounds like your schedule may be a bit much to keep all A's balanced with your kids. 3 kids are a LOT of work (and fun!) as well. Take it with a grain of salt, though, I don't know what kind of student you are. For me, A&P isn't hard but it does take a lot of time. Our practicals are completely written (no word banks, no multiple choice) and are comprised of up to 150 questions (bones) with an additional 40-50 multiple choice based on the chapters/lectures.

Good luck!
