Hi Everyone!
I hope this is not too soon! I am applying to the SM ABSN Sacramento program for Spring 2017. I wanted to connect with some of the other people applying for this same cohort:) Just wondering how everyone's applications are going and if anyone had anything to add to the group. I haven't submitted yet but will probably do so tomorrow after I finish my last essay response. Please tell me I am not the only one doing this totally last minute!
Feel free to share stats and updates as the process moves along. I am looking forward to hearing from some of you - and hopefully getting to know you in January (if things go according to plan:)
Good luck to everyone!
Hi everybody,
Just to get the ball rolling because I'm pretty sure we want to know what our numbers are for those applying for the Spring 2017 ABSN cohort
TEAS Score:
Adjusted Individual 90.7
Reading 90.5
Math 90.0
Science 89.6
English & Language 90.0
GPA:
Science 3.75
Last 60 semester units 3.97
Currently finishing up Pathophysiology and retaking Physiology because I originally took it about 10 years ago
And October is less than a couple months away to hear about acceptances...unless they are behind!
Cheers and good luck to everybody
Jenn
Hi,
I am a current student at Samuel Merritt University (SMU) and will graduate April 2017, so excited.
I started this mentorship program for ethnically diverse students. Two colleagues and SMU is assisting me with this.
If you are applying to the SMU's SACRAMENTO CAMPUS ONLY - ABSN or ELMSN and interested in having a mentor for a year, please message me or email me at [email protected].
I'm in my 30s and it took me a long time to get here. I don't want to see other students of disadvantage backgrounds (1st generation college student, low socioeconomic background, etc.) to take such a long path.
I can also answer your questions about the ELMSN-FNP program or process.
Thank you.

I never received an acknowledgement email after applying, so I contacted the school today and received an email shortly after. The Sacramento campus is still working on entry decisions for the coming fall term, so it will likely take awhile to learn about admission decisions for the Spring 2017 cohort (ABSN).
