Spring 2022 Nursing Program at Suffolk county community college

Published

Hello, all future nursing students! I am creating this forum early as I made the last forum for the FALL 2021 program. I found that this is very helpful for questions and to have a support system going through this journey. I am a current Suffolk student that is finished with all of the prerequisites except Micro. I planned to apply for the fall 2021 program but I did not get the grade I needed on the TEAS to apply so I am back at it! Never give up and keep positive! If anyone has any suggestions or helpful resources feel free to comment as this forum is for support! Thanks

I only took it once and got an 89, I didn’t wanna risk a lower score so I kept that one. I applied LPN to RN, I have all my other classes done with a 4.0 so I’m hoping it’s enough. This is definitely a smart group ??

has anyone used any of the "smart prep" study guides directly from the TEAS website? If so were they helpful?

Yes! It was super helpful. But very pricey! The highest I got on the TEAS was a 92 (my glory days, haha). I owe it to the Smart Prep

Hello

My TEAS score was in the 80's I didn't get a super high score but, I just hope its good enough to get in. I know ppl that go into the lpn-RN with 70's so anything is possible. I only took it once cuz every time you take it you loose 2 points. So for me it wasn't worth it. Good luck to everyone. Which campus did every one applied to ?

80s is still great! The national average is much less. I applied to grant because I’m like 2 minutes away. But I put ammerman as a backup.

Hey

OK guys one week done . Three more weeks until the end of Oct. We can see the finish line. LOL

My coworker got her acceptance last year on 10/26. I’m hoping we get ours before that cause they had a deadline extension LOL

Hello all,

just found this thread... I called on Friday and they said the committee met this week for review so emails are going out starting tomorrow.  I'm reading what some of you got on your TEAS and prerequisites so I'm a little nervous now...but Good Luck everyone!!

So nerve wracking ?

I have all my pre-requisites minus Microbiology.... If I don't get in I'm going to take that in the Spring along with biomedical ethics just to knock some classes off the list - my TEAS score will expire as well by the next deadline so I'll be taking it again... wish I just knew already! I'm checking my emails all day everyday even when I know that no one is sending emails on Sundays or holidays! This week is the week!

Absolutely, all we can do is our best! That’s all we can do, I feel whatever is meant to be will be, and things happens for a reason whether we like it or not. Wishing everyone luck and the best on this journey ????

So odd. They tell everyone a different story but I'll stay hopeful. I only got an 84 on the TEAS. Rubric score is 87 though. All As besides a B in psych and B+ in micro. I have every class including electives so I'm a bit nervous.
