Is anyone else here stalking the mailperson for news about your application for Spring 09 @ Jeff State. I have applied to the Shelby campus.

Is anyone else here stalking the mailperson for news about your application for Spring 09 @ Jeff State. I have applied to the Shelby campus.

When I applied for Fall 2007 I was told we would get our letters around the first couple weeks in July. Waited and waited. It took forever to get it because they were having some trouble deciding who to let in or something. But in the end the advisor ended up having to call all of the people accepted so that we knew in time to go to orientation. It seems like it's taking them longer and longer to let people know. If you haven't done so already, you may want to call the advisor and ask about the status of the decisions or when you can expect to hear something. Good Luck!

I have also applied for the Spring semester at the Shelby campus, and I am also waiting on my letter. It feels like it is taking forever but I know it has only been a couple of weeks. :o

I got an email today from Tiffany Lane and she said they are waiting for approval (2 or 3 days) and then they are sending letters....So like letters MAY go out by Next week sometime!!!! So no letters have gone out yet! Im freaking out!!!!

How many points did yall have?

It's pretty easy: how many points do you have?

If you have less than 180 you may not make it in.

If you have more than 180 you're in.

Where did you get that point range from? I was told you were not "safe" unless you had over 185 points....That the point cut off could be anywhere between 174 and 183. So just having 180 is not going to get you a spot...its just a possiblity (better than if you have like 170).

I'm just really wanting a letter.... That way I can stop freakin out over it and I can like "know where my life is headed"....if ya know what I mean. :wink2:

Jeff State....Is anyone of the campuses better than the other? I've heard some stuff about Jeff State and am kind of skeptical to apply. However, I guess I wouldn't know until I actually attend.

The ideal situation would be to have the highest number of points possible.

I'm glad to know that it is anticipated that letters will go out next week. I'm really really hoping and praying that I will get in with my 194 and my 3.59 GPA!!!!

I go straight home everyday after class and run to the mailbox...I did get a letter from JSCC one day and I started panicking -- turns out it was a letter from Financial Aid!!

Generally, you're right, you did need more than 180 points but most of the time 180 will get you in. If you have more than 185 why are you panicking!? You're in!!!
