Hello,
I know some of us were discouraged to find out that we didnt get in for Fall. The cut off was the highest theyve ever seen and some were shocked to find out their true pre-req GPA. We have another chance to accomplish our dream of becoming an RN and I am hopeful we will all get in for Spring. Historically it is an easier semester to get into, last GPA cutoff for 2019 Spring was a 3.381 so there is hope. If you dont mind posting GPA and TEAS and when youve submitted the app. Round 2, lets go!
Pre-req GPA- 3.514
TEAS-67
Havnt submitted just yet, but i will be soon!
Congratulations to you all who were accepted. Unfortunately I was not accepted, BUT I will be filling an appeal as the reasons for my not being accepted are completely inaccurate and invalid on HCC’s part and lead me to believe some one was half assing the review process.
HCC states that they didn’t receive my transcripts in time which is totally false as I have receipts of them receiving them in July. Also, I was sure to apply well ahead of time with all my ducks in a row. I even confirmed the things on my checklist were in order with an advisor.
I’m thinking if my appeal is successful I will still be pushed back in the process since they are already filling spots. It’s a headache and the odds are probably against me, BUT I will not give up with out clearing my case!
I will first have to speak with an academic advisor or an HCC counselor about the matter and then write a letter stating why I’m appealing with all the information to back my case in said letter. I also have to print out all of my receipts and documents to back my case.
What I’m going to do is write my letter of appeal and print out everything so that I can come correct when speaking to the advisor.
