I was just wondering were there any others who were applying for Spring 2013. I was in nursing school many moons ago (2003 el centro), and have decided to take care of unfinished business. I'm super excited about the new points system. I actually hope to attend Northlake--we live in Coppell. I'll be taking HPRS 1204 this summer there as well. Is anyone else petitioning the five year limit on their science courses? I Have all the Science courses complete except HPRS so I'm petitioning since I majored in Biology (UTA). I'm also hoping they will take my Calculus I in lieu of college algerbra. Lots to do! Prayerful that God shows favor on us all!
i have a Td not a Tdap vaccine. one contains pertussis and one doesnt.
Ah....see, I am terrified of technicalities! In my opinion, a Tdap vaccine is easy to get - you could get it before the semester begins and definitely before you begin rotations! If I recall correctly, you had 25 points, so El Centro just missed out on a very good candidate for success in their program! Boo...(hugs)

I pulled this directly from the Physical Exam form:
NOTE: If immunization records have been recorded on separate documentation such as ahospital printout, health department card, office call invoice, etc., a clear photocopy ofthat documentation may be attached to the Physical Examination and ImmunizationRecord form.
Are you sure that was your error, Kristy? Because if it was, that was a mistake!
I have heard of them making mistakes.. I would make sure I got my packet back and double checked everything!

This was for Fall 2012 admission. It was my error because I did not provide proof of the original immunization, only where my MD copied the date the immunization was given, but did not sign since it was administered 30 years ago. I made sure I didn't make that mistake again!!!!
The anxiety is KILLING me today! If I knew what time my mail came, I would SOOO leave work and run home real quick! :)
Kreid I am so sorry I agree they missed out on an excellent candidate! On the other side of that you're a shoe in for the next round. Also ask if there's a possibility to be wait listed if you get the vaccine!
