Spring Arbor vs Walden

Nursing Students NP Students

I want to go to school for my FNP. Online school is best for me because I have a toddler at home and plan on working full-time. Currently I am looking at Spring Arbor and Walden. I plan on starting in the fall. Has anyone attended these universities? I would appreciate feedback. Thank you.

Nah. It's that there's a decent chance that having an extremely low bar is not a good way to maintain or gain respect as a profession. We should look to up our game, not dig a deeper hole.

Yes, we all wish we hadn't put forth any effort and instead gone the easy way to the diploma mill so we can have a venerable Walden degree hanging on our wall instead of Vanderbilt, Yale, Duke, etc. How nice it would have been to just go to the pay for play school and put forth zero effort.

Both terrible. I do not precept nor hire Walden U students because I found them lacking in preparation and knowledge. I personally know one who was instructed to watch a Youtube video as their lecture for one topic, in an acute care NP Program. There are many good schools with online programs that are affordable - choose one of those.

Nope. It makes them sound like someone who cares about patient safety and the profession. Walden has almost no entry standards.

OK. If having standards and requirements is being an arrogant snob, I'm okay with that.
