Sponsorships for international nurses

Published

Does anybody know which hospitals are willing to sponsor international nurses?

#justwanttowork

I will make you a deal, you tell me which hospitals are willing to hire US citizens and then I will tell you which ones are willing to hire non-US citizens :) Deal?

Not to be ugly to you, OP, but it is a very hard time for American nurses to find work here.

Our US new graduates and experienced nurses alike are having much difficulty finding employment. So non-US nurses aren't exactly welcome with open arms.

I do wish you luck in finding work in your own country or somewhere other than America.

I think we really need to mobilize gang and just really start bombarding our congressmen and congresswomen with letters...and now is the time with elections just around the corner.

Seemingly many in our govt seem to feel there is a nursing shortage, we need to very strongly and clearly let them know otherwise.

Mobilize! Mobilize, Mobilize!!

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

To the OP: Few to no hospitals offer sponsorships anymore for foreign-trained nurses.

The US economy has taken a huge down-turn in the last few years. In my area (and I do not live in a big city), unemployment is >10% for those under the age of 25.

We wish you the best but you might want to consider another country - although the news tells us that Europe isn't faring much better.

Would help if you stated which country you are looking at and what skills you have.

To clarify - in my opinion there is a shortage & more nurses are needed (and will be needed). HOWEVER, there is no money available to staff hospitals with RNs the way they should/wish they could. Very sad.

Just my take on things.

Hi TS, Certainly no positive response from your query and it may sound like not the way you want to have as a reply but lets believe they were just honest to you though they can say it or write it nicely. Or they just doesn't like the the question per se.

No need to ask it in details or specific hospitals, location etc, because you will still have same answers or worst, more harsh answers.
