Hello, everybody!
I'm a registered nurse from Lithuania, and just two months ago I got my RN license in America. It's very happy event in my life :balloons:
Now I live in Wisconsin, but I'm looking for job in Chicago area. I have a lot of friends there and it's a great city!
I had few interviews already in Chicago hospitals, but they don't sponsor for green card. Do anybody knows any hospitals, that can sponsor nurses for green card.
Thank you very much for your help!
Sincerely,
Aurum
Yes, you are correct. The only difference is when it is needed. If you are out of the country and applying for the green card, then it is just needed when you have your interview at the US Embassy. If you are already in the US and will be filing for a Change in Status, then it must be submitted with the petition, or they will not do anything with the file.
See Suzanne.... I do learn something from reading your replies
Have never heard a word about them............
What are they paying for and what do you have to pay for?
What is your salary going to be? Do they pay for your housing initially? Do they pay for your family? Are they doing the hiring or are they just a recruiter and you will be working directly for a facility?
Do they staff for hospitals or just nursing homes?
What area in the US do they have most of their contracts for?
Are you expected to have your Visa Screen Certificate completed before you leave for the US? If not, this is a big warning sign, as you will not be working as a nurse, but most likely as a nursing assistant. And with poor working conditions.
These are just a few things that come to mind....

They pay for lawyer, UCSIS paperwork, and NCLEX. They recruit for different facilities. So, each case could be different depending on the facility.they work all over USA, and the salary depends on the facility as well. Yes, I need Visa Screen to be presented to de US Consulate. This Agency was OK for my friend and for me up to now.
I also once considered using the aldatech they appear to be good to me too, but if they help you take the NCLEX and you want to do the process on your own from there then you have to pay them back $2000 plus otherwise then you sign a contract for 18 months. Anyway i decided to do things on my own with the help of your wonderful threads from this website and i think i am doing fine.I am happy for you though Faby
Hi suzanne and everyone,if i already have a work permit, do i need to wait for the visa screen in order to start working once i get my licensure form the BON, or should i just g ahead and start working then file to change to a green card in the process?
What type of work permit do you already have? This will make the biggest difference...
Is it an employer sponsored work permit or because of a spouse?

Wrong, you are in the US now. It needs to be submitted with your Change in Status. This changed in the past year.......................you have old information...sorry
