I would say keep trying to find employer.
Do not restrict to one state.
Keep up to date with status on the visa bulletin and know it can take anything from months to several years depending on place of birth.
get a job and gain experience and if necessarily qualifications in areas that appeal to you making you more desirable to employers.
If you want to look at other countries, you never know you may change your mind and embrace a new place and decide to stay. I did and no regrets.
If the US is your end destination just be aware it may take time, it may take a lot of patience but if determined you will get there
Thanks Silverdragon... yeah, I've been working in the ER since late last year. . I have a question, will it be wise to ask the hospital upfront during hire if they're willing to sponsor the GC for one?... i ask because, I've been told many times by people that asking the hospital kinda scares them away from you... I don't know if that's true or not...
Also I also heard that there are opportunities in Alaska. . But, I don't know where or whom to contact. .
I just need more advice/suggestions. ..
Thanks again!

Try Children's Hospital in Texas, Temple
The hospital will want to know what status you have for working in the US, if OPT that should indicate that further sponsorship is required and if they are aware of the timeframe it may put them off.
Hmmm.... the hospital I work for presently, didn't even raise an eye brow when i was employed, as it concerns my visa status... even though I gave them ALL my paper work....
I wonder if this is good thing...?

Are you on OPT? I would ask your HR department now if they are willing to sponsor you on an ongoing basis after that expires.

Try Uvalde in Texas. They are very nurse friendly. (Nurse friendly certified ). They use to sponsor nurses from Canada
I have a question. . When is the best time to ask a recruiter if they can sponsor a for GC? Some people say, go for the interview get the job and ask them during hiring, while others say ask as soon as they invite one for an interview. .
So, what do you all think? :)
