Does anyone know where I would take the Accuplacer Test for admission into the SPC Nursing program? When can I take it, and how long are the resultsbgood for? Do I need to take the whole test or just the reading portion? Thanks in advance.
I'm in A&P2 and Micro this semester (Applying to be in the program this fall). Micro is a bit much! Way more memorization than I imagined! If you're planning on finishing your prereqs this fall (fall 2016) and getting into the spring 2017 nursing program, I have some bad news for you. Final grades for fall 2016 are not due to be in the system until 12/9/16. The application window for the spring nursing program is between July 1st and September 15th (2016). So, you're still going to be finishing up your classes while the application window closes. You could always talk to a nursing program adviser about this situation, but to be a competitive applicant you need all 30 credits of the prereq classes to be done (I believe the average accepted applicant has like 29.9 credits done and a 3.8 GPA)(this is of course different for spring as spring is usually easier to get into). It may also be a factor that micro is a 4 credit hour class(es) so, instead of just missing 3 credits you'd be missing 4.
Yes, that is right. I applied with 4.0 GPA and no Micro (took it in summer) and was not taken (Fall 2015/2016).
For all yall people. Take Micro with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE TO NOT POST NAMES OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS). I wish I would have done that instead of taking it online. His expectations are super clear and he really boils things down to what you need to know. I have him for Lab and he is awesome (a bit moody at times, but absolutely awesome)

I've only been told there is a reading portion that we have to get 95 on in order to go forward into the program. It was also suggested that the test be taken before the last semester of the prereq's
I think I may be joining some of you in classes this summer. On plan is A&P1, Stats and maybe Speech.
Awesome to see some fellow SPC classmates here! I was starting to think I was alone :)
