SPC Nursing 1 Books

Published

Does anyone have any Nursing I books they would like to sell? Also, there is a list of 14, would any past students say there were any not needed? Thanks.

Your welcome! P.S. you will end up paying anywhere from $700-900 for all the required stuff (worst case is if you need to get a stethoscope, BP cuff etc...)

So, the first day of class is lab from 1-3. Does anyone know if we are suppose to wear scrubs (clinical outfit) or the white polo outfit. I wasn't sure since we techncially won't start clinicals until a few weeks in. The sheet says that the scrubs are for SCENE and hospital, but I can't remember if scene is the lab or something different. Help!! Also, will we need ALL the books for the first day?

I have been wondering that myself. I don't think they will kick you out on the first day if you are wearing the wrong uniform. I have 1-3 "clinical" on monday. I am probably going to be wearing the polo b/c we will probably not be doing anything accept rules, class info etc...nothing too hands on. As for the book stuff I am just going to keep everything in my car and I am sure they will let us know how to handle all that stuff too. Just FYI, I heard there will be someone in the main lobby area to guide people where to go b/c my schedule doesn't say what room to go to....Let me know if you hear anything else! Good luck!

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. I think everyone must have clinical 1-3 on Monday from what it seemed when I went to take the ATI tests. One of the girls said that your classroom may be different each day so they put your classroom for the day up on a tv screen in the lobby. It's going to be chaotic for a while!!!

This was posted by one of last years students on ANGEL, so maybe it's the same...

I am a level 1 nursing student as well. I went to the Nursing syllabus review on Wednesday. As long as our clinicals are at the campus, which I believe is 7 or 8 weeks into the semester we can wear the regular school uniform( white polo w. blue, black or khaki), except if we have to go into "the scene", which will be announced by the instructors. In "the scene" and once we do our clinical rotations at the hospital we are required to be "all in white"-

Another post also mentioned that clinical days that are on campus start at 7am instead of 6am. Once we start going to clinicals then the times are earlier. Oooo I hope this is true!
