anyone applying for the jan 2010 spc rn program? if so, is this your first time applying or have you done it before and not been accepted? what is your pre-req gpa and have you taken micro??? also, do you have any info on the eayl program with morton plant as far is job fair dates? i called their info line and there isn't a new date. any info would be helpful!
please apply for the EAYL program. i'm pretty sure if you express that drive to those interviewing you, you will be accepted into their program. be sure you brush up on interview questions, just so if they ask you something like, "what was the most stressful situation you experienced at your current job and how did you handle it?" you will be able to have a quick response. be sure to also stress to them how much you want this and how long you've been trying to get into the program. they are not concerned with your GPA --- really. what they ARE interested in is someone who is serious about a career in nursing. they'd rather hire someone who has common sense, rather than book sense. book sense does you no good, if you are unable to apply it to real life situations.when i interviewed for their LPN program, they really wanted me to reconsider and apply for their RN program. and i would have, if i had all the science classes completed at that time. they wanted me to wait another year to finish my pre-reqs, but i elected to continue on the route i have chosen. i've waited long enough to be a nurse and didn't want to wait any longer
if you have any other questions, PM me.
Awesome! Thank you so much for the encouragement FLg8r! Hopefully we will see each other in the halls of a MP/Baycare hospital someday.
Does anyone know if the "stamped, validated SPC Hospital Expansion Programs Requirements Checklist" is something that the advisors can whip up pretty quickly or does it have to be requested and takes a few days? Also, at the interview for EAYL they say you need a copy of your transcripts..do they have to be official or just printed off of the website? Thanks
It does, Thanks. I'm gonna run there tomorrow and get the checklist so I'll ask about the transcripts. Did they seem to have any indication whether the last of the Spring letters were almost done? I hate waiting. Who are you taking for Micro this fall? It seems like a crap load of work compared to A&P.

if it is any consolation to ya, i thought micro was way easier, compared to a & p -- which i did not think was easy at all
well... they said if they stay on track the letters will go out next week. i am taking micro now and i think it will be interesting... i like that kind of stuff. i thought a&p was pretty easy...hated the hormones chapters though! what is your current situation? i am just putting all my eggs in this basket...
has anyone heard back on the spc-rn eayl program to set up the interview? i sent the checklist last week but still have not heard anything. does anyone know the turnaround time?
i'm going thru their eayl-lpn program. we had to attend an orientation at ptec first -- the day after the orientation, i rec'd a call for my first interview. 2 weeks later - 2nd interview (which happens to be today :yelclap:)
you could always call or email them .... i did and always received a reply right away.
