SPC Fall 2019

Published

Hey, everyone! I've been looking for a thread about fall applications for SPC Nursing program, but nothing yet! It may be early, since the application period just started on March 1st, but here we go! I applied as soon as it opened , and I'm crossing my fingers until the July 1st. Anyone else applied or planning to do it soon? Let me know your thoughts and plans, we are all together in this one ? .

I did mine last year through In-Pulse CPR. You can find a location online. Right now they are offering the BLS provider course for $50.

It says something in the email that it needs to be Red Cross, I’m not sure, I’ll look up. If anyone has any more suggestions, let us know!

Sorry, it’s actually American Heart Association BLS

I just checked my card. It says American Heart Association BLS, so I think that the In-Pulse CPR website might provide more information. I selected the BLS provider course when I did it last year.

Awesome, that means you are good! One thing less for you to do ?

I’ll just have to remember to do it next year. I know there are many BLS courses out there, but maybe the In Pulse will work out for some people.

I know we are helping each other, but I just wanted to thank you guys for answering my questions throughout this entire process. It’s great having the support.

You are welcome! That's what this all is about, everyone needs to help and share. You guys have all been awesome so far!

Btw, I just scheduled my BLS class with American Heart Association for next Saturday. In Pulse seems great, but times didn't really work for me.

Guyss so for the vaccines, we just have to go at the Health Department and ask to get the vaccines listed right?? I see no forms to download for them to fill out. Is this correct???

And what is the skills kit??

Yes, I believe you just tell them what vaccines you need. I would just make sure to get a copy of everything.

I do not know what the skills kit is.

Thanks!!! If anyone else has a response about this..please post it. ?

Vaccines you might want to do titers at the health dept most likely you will need very few of the actual shots required from the titer results. Skills kits are the medical apparatus that you utilize for your skill check offs before clinicals it’s like the IV bags gauze pads Sterile gloves etc

Truly relax they will walk you through most of your questions at orientation and they will give you plenty of time to complete it all take a deep breath this is the easy part
