Southwestern College Fall 2023 (SWC)

Hey everybody! I wanted to start this thread like previous cohorts specifically for the Fall 2023 cohorts. From information I gathered the general size of the cohorts are 35-40

How many points is everyone applying with? I believe I am in the lower end 80/82

I got a rejection email Tuesday night. So back to the drawing board.

I wonder, if they will continue to send out rejections or accepted tonight. ? I hate the constant email checking. Good Luck to everyone fingers crossed.

I was  looking at the points breakdown again  and now I'm questioning my points. When it says only one science repeat does that just mean one bad grade repeat? I took a few repeats for a better grade from a B to an A. I hope that doesn't mean I'm disqualified?!

Hey! I actually just got DQ at Grossmont for repeating a science course 3 times (repeated physio 3 times). But I believe that for swc you are allowed 1 W and 1 repeat science class. I May be mistaken but that's what I've been told. Hope that helps. I had the same question about Grossmont nursing program and I emailed people and never got a response, but I got a DQ email today. It's OK though ?

I saw that in a older all nurse post for SWC not sure if it's accurate.

Yeah that's what I did after I completed the class. I filed a petition to admissions and let them know why I was doing it (better grade for the nursing program) and they approved it.
