Southwestern College ADN 2016

Published

Hello All,

I wanted to start this thread for those fellow applicants that applied for the Southwestern Community College Fall 2016 ADN Program. Not sure If this is a little late but I have yet to receive my notification regarding being invited or not for the program. As you can probably assume, I am extremely nervous right now and have been ever since I submitted my application. I've been in contact with Martha over there and she informed me that they were currently showing attention to the Step-Up program and they should be completed by this week. After completing their portion, the remainder of the letter will be sent out.

Has any one been offered a spot in the ADN program for the fall 2016 cohort yet?

Yea they told me I had to be taking classes :/ I went to the lemon grove one it was $45:) they were awesome

Do you happen to know what the clinic is called and if you made an appointment? lol where did you get your TB test? I had a chest x ray from june 2015 do you think thats ok? because on the app it says chest x ray are ok within 5 years. And did you get your immunization before going to get physical exam?

A new TEAS for the year 2017 in March? I took the TEAS I got a 76 only, which I don't feel terrible about not very many people are doing that impressive on the test. I was aiming for 85

You took the TEAS twice the same version or different ones? I took the teas this past week at southwestern the form that they had me sign stated that if you retest that you will only be eligible for the program and not granted the points for the second score. I couldn't believe it because no where have I seen that on the school of nursing website.

@brandyP Yeah they told me I can only use my first score which was 80% for points. I took the test again because it was free at Palomar College, and I was hoping to apply to National University as well where you can use your highest score. And I also applied to CSUSM and SDSU. Good luck to you! Palomar or Grossmont is my first choice as they are way closer to me than Southwestern.

Hi guys,

Hi BoBayla,

Hello,

I also have about the same 73 points, the most I've heard so far is 83 for fall 2017 applications hopefully more people will be posting. I think we have a chance to get in! 🙄

I'm at 71 so your better then me :)

Chest x ray is valid for 5 years so the one from 2015 is still valid per application

I heard 70s hopefully we all get in lol but last year everyone had 75 and up :(

Lets not loose hope!!!!
