Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! I’m starting this thread so we can share our application criteria points with each other! I just turned in my application today. I have between 85 and 88 points. I have 3 B’s on my science prerequisites :((, 4.0 gpa for all the general Ed courses. I have fluency in Spanish, an associates degree, CNA, and volunteer experience. I scored an 88 on my TEAS! I hope they can look past my grades in my prerequisite courses and I get in!!! I hope we all get into this cohort! Good luck everyone

I apologize I did not mean to make that about me.

My unsolicited advice is prepare to not have a boyfriend / girlfriend or a good marriage when you're in school, unless your significant other can handle you telling them u can't hang out for the next two years. I got married my first semester of nursing school, and you know the ending. Some can handle it, others need your undivided attention and will do whatever they must to get it. And if you have anything going on in your life talk to a professor so they are aware... Lastly DON'T take on too much unless you can handle it all. Take it from my experience.

I really hope that girl is okay. And sorry for talking about my life disasters. ?

I also had a terrible experience that forced me to drop from my previous nursing program so I totally understand how that makes you feel, especially when you put too much work into it, time, money and you are not able to graduate as an RN as planned. Hang in there, I went from being an alternate to getting a spot two weeks before school started for me. I wish you get a spot as well so you can start your journey again in nursing and accomplish your goals!

Sorry you had a similar experience.... Boo on that. But you are moving forward and in an RN program now... U deserve it! And at the end you will come out with more wisdom!

Thank you, I hope there is a miracle that happens between now and the first day of school. I would be the happiest girl around!

I will keep u posted!

I'm being annoying again ?.... But any news alternates?

Yay! Congrats! Who called and when?

I got nothing so far.

Any of the alternates who accepted.... Are you having issues with Complio? When I go to load the packages it doesn't give me an option for the drug screen.

You don't upload the drug screen. The lab will do it for you.

Thank You. I am Almost compliant now. For the dosage calculation I wasn’t able to get into the summer class. I have been reviewing conversions form metric to household as well as reviewing injection/oral medication formulas. Does anyone know if I need to cover anything else for the math test we have early in the semester? Thanks
