Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! I’m starting this thread so we can share our application criteria points with each other! I just turned in my application today. I have between 85 and 88 points. I have 3 B’s on my science prerequisites :((, 4.0 gpa for all the general Ed courses. I have fluency in Spanish, an associates degree, CNA, and volunteer experience. I scored an 88 on my TEAS! I hope they can look past my grades in my prerequisite courses and I get in!!! I hope we all get into this cohort! Good luck everyone

I have that effect on people they always open up to me. Loljk

Is this your first time reapplying to nursing programs?

No i did at Palomar a year ago, but my physiology was expired... And I did not tell them anything about my situation

They are 2 years.... 6 total semesters (24 months) as you have no breaks or summers off. I was almost to my 6th semester.

So heartbreaking. Hopefully it works out for you in the end.

Anywho. I hate when s*** and life happens to people, and hope that person is okay. But hope someone just decided to go elsewhere. But I do not wish any bad on anyone

It will. I just don't want to have to take more detours. Already have some plan Bs.

Wow, you must have had like 16 unit semesters and you took an externship ?

Yeah. It was an extra 120 hours of clinical. It was equivalent to working full time for 4 weeks during semester. Great experience but holy cow. But there was so much more going on than that.

K please keep me posted on alternates who get in, and other news. And just bare with me till August. Lol

I bet. I'm a lil weary to take 1 BSN class during the program and we only have 10 unit semesters. Lol I looked at SDSU class schedule and they take 16-18 units each semester. So I'm hoping separating prerequisites, ASN and BSN really decreases the load.

It will for sure... I was planning a wedding my first semester with the load then going through counseling and divorce proceedings during my last semester with an externship. Not to mention I was quite emotional.

It will work out just fine for u. Lol
