Southwestern College ADN Fall 2018 Cohort

Published

I just wanted to start a topic for this upcoming Southwestern ADN cohort (Fall 2018)! What are everyone's stats? (GPA, Teas, etc). I'm also applying at San Diego City, Palomar College, Grossmont and National University.

Hi guys! I should be applying for this Fall 2018 term. I am still currently studying to take my TEAS, so I haven't turned in my application yet. I had a question regarding the 5 life points.. if anybody can help me out. How many sentences did you guys put for your personal/family circumstances? Thanks in advance!!

Im sorry for the late respond it took me 2 sentences to do each statement.

Goodluck!

Hey guys I am also applying for the Fall 2018 term. I am currently studying for the teas. I will be taking the teas this Saturday wish me luck! But i have about 80-82 points. I am also thinking of applying to Grossmont college.

You have 80-82 points without Teas Score? thats impressive.

Oh no lol I calculated it with the teas score. In case i get about 70%-84% on my teas i will have a score of 80-82 but if i get 85% or higher on my teas i will have about 85-87 points.

Oh nice I did the same thing good luck

Wow those are great scores everyone has, I am going in with about 75 points so we will see!

Also, did everyone do their SEP? I have been trying to get one but my transcripts are being evaluated still and it has been over a month now í ½í¸© they won't let me schedule an appointment with a counselor to create an SEP unless my transcripts are evaluated.

Should I still submit my application without an SEP?? What would you guys do?

Evaluation should not take that long. I would try calling them.

If you are not able to get A SEP on time, I would e-mail the nursing department about the situation and see what they would suggest.

Right? So weird! I called and they said "I haven't even looked at your transcripts" and that I am #4 in her pile!

I just hope she gets it done by tomorrow that way I can a schedule an appointment by next week.

Definitely stressing me out ):

Do you guys know anyone who went to southwestern for adn? What did they think about the program? Was it hard?

My friend just graduated from there. She liked the program, but in order to pass each semester it had to be 78%. SDCC is 76% and I believe grossmont is 75% so they have a higher standard for pass rate.

Thank you! How about working? Can you work while attending the program? How much can we work?

Yes, you're allowed to work :) They suggest only working a total of 20 hours per week though. But my friend said there's people that do work full time and have graduated. Do you plan on working through the program?
