I have been out of work for some time due to personal difficulties and trying to move to Vermont which I managed this past November. I was getting calls for interviews while I lived in NJ....Now that I am here, it all stopped. I am somewhat frustrated. I have heard that you must go door to door here in Vermont and literally show your face to employers when applying for work....is this true???? Online resumes dont seem to do the trick here. Whats a nurse to do? Any helpful hints would kindly be appreciated.

Try Rutland Regional Medical Center. They have a good number of nursing jobs open at any given time. It's a great place to work, too. I applied online for an LNA position and heard back within a week or so.
kabfighter, Thank you for your help. Rutland is quite a ways drive for me...and I need a non physical type nursing position at this point of my career due to past work related injuries. Hospital positions outside of clerical are out of my league sad to say due to their prolonged standing, bending, and lifting, as are my long time employment of Long Term care. Thanks anyway. lumbarpain
