Southern CA RN wages

I live in Sacramento and make $45.00 an hour at an acute with great benefits, free healthcare for the whole family ect. My husband has been offered a job in Oxnard ( SoCal ) What are the wages like there? Does anyone work for Southern CA Kaiser? Any advice wopuld be appreciated. Thanks.

Since Kaiser is a unionized hospital, the pay rates tend to be slightly lower than other area hospitals. However, their benefits are excellent. An experienced RN can expect to earn $30-something per hour.

Are you guys planning to live in Oxnard? I was born and raised there, lived there for 22 years, and moved as far away as I could back in 2003.

In Sacramento, Kaiser has been the highest paying hospital. I do not know what wages are in Southern Ca, but here is the contract http://www.calnurses.org/facilities-bargaining/kaiser/

The rates of pay are significantly different in southern Cal compared to the more northern areas. And not all Kaiser facilities in Southern CA are unionized at this time.

Average rate of pay in the LA area is in the low to mid $30s per hour and lower as you move further out of the city in most cases.
