I'm thinking about starting South University. Is there anyone here attending and if so, how do you like the program. How are the classes formatted? Also, has it been difficult for anyone earning an online degee with NP to find a job? Thanks.
JennabeanRN are you still in the FNP program how do you like it I am thinking of starting this program in the fall but getting a little worried they already changed my admissions counselor 3 times and I just finished BSN with an unorganized school and I don't want that frustration for another two and a half years can you let me know how you like the program and classes and how is the work load do you feel prepared
'I found the reps to be pushy as well. I was enrolled in a class before I even made a final decision on whether to attend. That was a red flag to me and I went elsewhere because of it
Yikes! I looked into SU (even started the application) before I realized it was for-profit and decided to apply somewhere else. Hi Pamela.
I appreciated reading your post. I am seriously thinking about going to SU in Jan to work on my RN-BSN. Do you have any further advice to give me? They said they would accept all of the CC credits, nor would I be required to take any further pre-reqs. Only their core nursing classes (which are 12). I do not have a more advance chemistry, or micro. I find this hard to believe I could obtain a BSN without those important sciences? Any thoughts for recommendations to give me? Thank you. Joy
Hi Owethu123,
I just started at South University in the ADN to MSN/FNP program. It has only been one week so I don't have that much info yet. I decided to go to the campus/online, one day a week on campus the rest online. This is a program in Novi, MI. I did not want to do all online. I was nervous about not having a lab to learn skills in, yet I needed the flexibility of online. The program will require 760 clinical hours and I will find my own sites. It will take 3 years and 3 months to complete. Any other questions?
