 Has anyone heard about this school? I'm going to meet with them tomorrow about a BSN program that they are just starting in Tampa...but have had in other cities for a while now. They are fully accredited, so I'm not worried about that, but as you know any new program I always get nervous about. Anyhow, any feedback is appreciated since I'm meeting with them tomorrow!!!!!

Main campus in Savannah, GA? Seems like a good university...I talked to them about their online RN to BSN program. There weren't offering many credits for my existing RN, so I ultimately chose another school. If it wasn't for that fact, I would have enrolled there.

Well, I went to meet them there and they are just starting this Tampa campus and quite frankly, it appears way too overpriced. 42k for the full schooling (and this is assuming you are just taking the nursing courses, forget about the pre-nursing courses, which I have all of). I don't know what to do right now.

Ya I saw the billboard on 275 by Westshore in Tampa for South. It's expensive because it's private and based in another state so I think you have to pay out-of-state tuition? Or else it's just overpriced. Are you looking for BSN or ADN or just trying to do anything that will make you an RN?

Chicka-

Right now almost anything (but 42k in tuition) to be a nurse. No, it isn't based upon in/out of state tuition....all for-profit schools don't have such a dilineation. They are for profit and that is all it is about. It sucks...but I think I have found a way that will work for me. PHCC has an ASN RN AND LPN program (that isn't going to kill me competitively). So I'll be testing out for both of those programs in the next few weeks.

i applied to south university in tampa and planned to start classes the first of august however since signing up i re-evaluated the extremely high tuition. they will not transfer many of my classes from 20 years ago which means i have to take a bunch of classes over again (i don’t blame them for some of them) --- basically i am starting over which could cost me about $70k. of course they can’t guarantee acceptance into their program even after taking all the prerequisites – so that being said i decided not to attend. i have applied to keiser college in lakeland and will be taking the net in two weeks which i’m nervous about. as long as i pass that i’ll have a guaranteed spot on the waiting list for fall 2007 which i was told is a short waiting list. they are transferring more of my classes and i’ll be done by the spring with prerequisites and the cost of the program will be about $40k.

so i’m studying like crazy for the net…………….:studyowl:
