Is anyone out there that has taken the RN refresher course from South Dakota University? How long did it take you to complete the course? Pros & Cons? Thank you for your help

Sorry I'm not able to answer your question, but am wondering the same thing. I'm looking into the online refresher from South Dakota State, is that the one you are talking about? Did you end up enrolling?
Hello Yes I went to the boards and they gave me a big list of refresher courses, but all of them start on August and this one is the only one that you can start at any time, the only thing is that you have to have clinical arrangements(verbal agreement from the hospital) before you enroll in the course. Currently I am working on getting the arrangement done. But the program seems legit and straight forward.

Hi what do you think about the course? I was looking through all the modules, and I feel defeated. Was it easy or hard?

Hi, is anyone here currently having their refresher course with Medstar academy inc. please reply me. I need an information about this. Thanks!
I'm sorry I haven't looked into the Medstar. I did most of the leg work to enroll in the SDSU program and between all the background checks and coordinating my own clinicals I switched to a different program- Nebraska Methodist College RN refresher and finished 6 months ago. There's an online portion that takes time but if you do a section each day, you can get it done pretty quickly. The best thing about that program is you show up to Omaha for a long weekend, and finish your clinical hours in 3 days and boom you're done. Friday is BLS certification and lab skills at their school and Sat/Sunday is clinical in their hospital on a really great floor to do clinicals. You have a preceptor with you all weekend and I only ever had 1 or 2 patients. I believe they will help line up a nearby hotel as well.
This was a way better option for me than months of clinicals somewhere else.
You just need to make sure it meets the requirements set by your state board of nursing.
