Sometimes I just feel like saying " What's the Point?"

Published

In even applying. I have now been rejected from 4 nursing programs within the past year. And today i can add two ore rejection letters to that list. What sucks about it is this University was 15 minutes away from my house, and I had a scholarship to go there. I am still waiting to hear back from two ADN community college programs. One of these colleges does not do student loans, so that will be an issue, and the other is an hour drive. I just feel so discouraged sometimes about everything. Science and medicine is my passion, and i feel as if nobody will give me a chance to show them that i can and will excel in their program. Im not an awful student. I have a 3.00 GPA and I made A's in AP1 and AP2. Along with B's in my other courses. I have been waiting a whole year to get accepted somewhere and everytime i think about all the hard work ive put in, it makes me want to break down and cry. I just needed one good thing to happen this summer, amongst all the other turmoil in my life. One of these CC ive applied to has already rejected me twice before, so why would this time be any different? I just feel like giving up.

Congratulations you should be getting that big envelope in the mail any day now!

Kyruhh,

You have to know the rules to getting accepted to the program that you are interested in, inside & out. Can you get extra points if you complete, all co-requsites? Can you bump up your GPA by taking classes that are not required prereqs for the program? Is acceptance merit based, or is ther also a lottery system? How is rank calculated? I would do the same as you and start to apply to BSN programs if the CC route is too flooded with applicants. Best of luck to you, and please keep us posted!

I got in everybody:)

Guys... this is incredible!:yeah:The same day I posted a question for tcstr05 about what exactly they change in interact account (a student's account at Faulkner State) if they accept you, I decided to check my degree plan....just in case...and they changed it! Now my degree plan appears as:

NURSING (ASSOCIATE DEGREE NURSE - RN) That means that: I got acepted in the program! :redlight: I am so excited and happy! A lot of hard work is left behind and a lot of it is still waiting for me, but I was never ever so excitied before!

I wish all of you to get in and - never ever give up! No matter what.

kayruhh - will be praying for you to get accepted this time! Only because of the persistence and courage you have being demonstrating you totally deserve it! You're the perfect example of how one should cheerfully follow his heart through hard work and discipline.

Looks like we will be starting in the fall together. I'm so excited. I've already made my schedule :)
