My day started off good. Came into the building and remembered breakfast was provided for staff today. YAY!!!! Then I looked at my e-mails and received a phone.
In my e-mails I got a reply from 2 CPS reports I filed Friday and they are not doing anything about them. WHAT!?!?! I am mandated to report, but you only look at the report a few hours later and determine that nothing needs to be done. How? Why? Do I make a phone call to ask questions or just say "oh, well." Not comfortable with that reply.
The phone call was about a Little Darling that has been out with headaches, but no dr will give her a diagnosis. She has been to the ER 3 times in the last week due to the headaches. Went and talked to administration today to see what options we had to offer and until they have a diagnosis, there is not much they can do. Student has a history of anxiety and stomach issue and has a 504 in place. Admin is wondering if the headaches are due to stress from the advance classes she is taking so the first thing they want to do is to pull her from those classes. After listening to her mom tell me her history, I'm not convinced it is due to stress. I just want answers for her and her family. Having a chronically ill child is stressful when you know the diagnosis and even more stressful when you do have any answers.
Plus, my child is not feeling well today. But Praise the Lord its not a migraine.
Thanks for the space to rant. I hate it when I can't fix it.

Reinforce to mom the squeaky wheel gets heard!! She needs to advocate with the PCP. Have they done a CT or MRI? I had a local pedi blow off intermittent nausea and vomiting and an inablity to hold a head up... DX with a new MD who ordered CT? Neuroblastoma.
At least if ALL the physcial is ruled out, they can move forward with the emotional or psych

That does sound really frustrating. If it were me I would totally call CPS and ask what the determining factor was (if they are even allowed to tell you). So hard when your gut is telling you something and it gets blown off.

Do you know if CT or MRI was done in the ER? It sounds like mom is not ignoring it. Was the CPS report against mom?
I'm not sure. I know they have done a lumbar puncture and have tested the spinal fluid, but I have not heard of the results. I don't remember if mom said there was a CT or MRI done. I would hope so. I know they are waiting for an appointment with the neurologist which at this time will not be until the middle of January. The neurologist have put them on a waiting list if some one cancels.
I have not heard from dad since yesterday. I will wait a little bit and then call and see what happened yesterday.
