Hi, future nurses! Creating this post for those who applied to Solano Community College with a 2024 start date.
Has anyone heard anything yet? Previous community threads here talk about how you don't hear anything until February or possibly March, but that seems so far away.
Fingers crossed for all those who applied!
Note from allnurses Staff
To help all of those looking to get started at Solano, we've put together a bit more information about the program below.
Solano Community College is based in Fairfield, California. The college offers a quality two-year ADN program with a most recent NCLEX pass rate of 87.18% in 2022/2023.
There are between 35-45 students taking the NCLEX exams in a given year, so you can expect roughly 50 students in your cohort as not all will continue the program through its entirety.
The estimated total program costs are $8,000 to $8,500, or roughly $4,000 in annual tuition costs.
The deadline for acceptance into the fall nursing program, which starts in August each year, is September 1 – September 30. For this cohort, you should have already applied for entrance if you'd like to start in August 2024.

Im grasping at straws LOL.
Oh me too. I'm on my 4th year of applying to nursing school. And between this alt spot and waiting to hear from Evergreen I'm kinda anxious! Hopefully Monday brings us some good news!

OMG, I hope you get in somewhere! I am proud of your dedication and not giving up on your dreams.
Kaitlin Ordonio said:If we're alternates, how do we register for classes on our registration dates? Do you think we'll find out if we have a spot on Monday?
I don't think it matters because you can register for classes up until the first few days of the semester in August. But you can only register for the program's classes if the nursing department provides authorization for you to add the nursing courses. Unless you were trying to take non-nursing courses then you would register on your date cause those are open to everyone and will fill up.
Katie Caruso said:Same! I have been taking classes at sac state and will have my B.S. in Public Health at the end of this semester. I told myself this was my last year applying to RN programs, if I didn't get in I wasn't going to apply again!
At least you have guaranteed admission for next year!
