Hi, future nurses! Creating this post for those who applied to Solano Community College with a 2024 start date.
Has anyone heard anything yet? Previous community threads here talk about how you don't hear anything until February or possibly March, but that seems so far away.
Fingers crossed for all those who applied!
Note from allnurses Staff
To help all of those looking to get started at Solano, we've put together a bit more information about the program below.
Solano Community College is based in Fairfield, California. The college offers a quality two-year ADN program with a most recent NCLEX pass rate of 87.18% in 2022/2023.
There are between 35-45 students taking the NCLEX exams in a given year, so you can expect roughly 50 students in your cohort as not all will continue the program through its entirety.
The estimated total program costs are $8,000 to $8,500, or roughly $4,000 in annual tuition costs.
The deadline for acceptance into the fall nursing program, which starts in August each year, is September 1 – September 30. For this cohort, you should have already applied for entrance if you'd like to start in August 2024.

I also applied to a lot of other schools too. I'm hoping to get in somewhere based on merit. Solano is in my top 2 though so hopefully I can get off this alternate list.
Yes I've heard of alternates getting accepted. Hopefully we all get in, but like you said at least we know for 2025

I apologize, I worded that so wrong.
Have they given alternates guaranteed spots for the NEXT APPLICATION YEAR in prior years? Or is this the first year that they have done this?

Congratulations!! After you got an e-mail and confirmed your acceptance (if you did yet), did you happen to get a reply confirming your confirmation?? I'm an over thinker here!! LOL

I confirmed right after I got the acceptance, and have not gotten a return confirmation to confirm my confirmation. ?. It's also driving me crazy.
