I see so many people on here talking about how they failed the NCLEX; some more than once or twice! I just don't get it. They make it hard to get high grades at my school because they say "what is the point of getting your degree if you can not pass the boards?" Why are so many people failing? Is it the school? Is it the person, did they barely pass nursing school anyway? At our school they try to always use NCLEX style questions for tests. Where to you think the problem lies?
I want to know what to do as far as taking this test again?? Ive failed three times??? Now im in a remedial course and its like im back in fundamentals again!!?? I need to pass this beast and start working and being what ive always wanted to be- a NURSE!!! R.N.!!!!! Now i can honestly say that im terrified to take this again!!?? What to do???? Scared!!! Cant the Boards just go back to the written exam instead of this CAT type exam- You either get it right or wrong , not level of Your ability???????Please help!!!!!!:angryfire

I really don't agree with the new style of testing...I think it is horrible. How can it be that a person can practice so many questions over and over again, walk in and STILL not recognize what NCLEX places before you?? Pick all that apply...diagrams, co-horting questions...the whole gammet is ridiculous to me. And, it does not guarentee a good nurse, it simply assures that we can regurgitate what they want to hear because the real world of nursing verses NCLEX is a sharp difference. I do wish you luck the next time with your exam.
