just remember to keep your cool. hr personnel have alot of things to deal with besides hiring, they sometimes have payroll administration, benefits, employee counciling, you name it, they do it.

i'm not a nurse, but i noticed the higher the salary, the longer the wait time to get a job. on places that were actively hiring, i have waited as long as 3 months for a start date.

just as we wish to be respected, we need to respect others. i'm sure right now with new graduates applying for positions she probably is busy. it's not personal. for all you know, she may have just gotten off the phone with someone who was rude and nasty with her for not calling about a resume.

Oh! I have had this experience before. And other nurses have as well.

Not saying this to devalue your feelings but to let you know... yeah they

(employers) do this. So you can know if you ever do accept a position whose

hiring on experience is like this, they do the same thing when its time for your raise.

Haha! only kidding...( I hope:-)

And most important, what a classy exit you made. Woo Hoo!

I don't think you should take it personal, either. I have seen that aspect of the spectrum. HR employees have a great deal to do, and interact with alot of drama at times. I tend to send 'thank you' cards after all of my interviews; it makes them remember you better. Also, maybe send a follow up letter a few weeks after that if you are really interested in working there. Good luck!
