i was just discussing with some teachers yesterday about having a 5th grader coming into my office in utter panic over a slightly wiggly primary molar. I reminded this student that this wasn't their first rodeo with the tooth fairy and pointed them to my dixie cups. Oh the utter drama of it all!
Well this sounds like a good time
This is from whence it came. Post #158.

Student: NURSE!!!!!
Me: *almost choking on my lunch* yes! what's wrong?!
Student: I LOST MY TOOTH!!!!!
Me: *silent panicking d/t my aversion to loose teeth* oh cool!
Student: YEAH!! It was lunch time and there I was when I felt my tooth go wobble wobble and then I felt blood and then POOF! My tooth fell out!!
Me: Well that's the most exciting tooth-losing story I've ever heard!
Student: CAN I CALL MY MOM?!?!
Me: Sure, but try not to yell in the phone. It's hard to understand when people yell in the phone.
Student: OK!!! *calls parent and repeats same story. yelling of course*
I love story time
