congrats! sleep now baby girl...cuz soon, when you hit school...you're going to be so stressed you're gonna loose alot more than sleep! haaaa!!!!been there! just keep on keepin on..and before you know it..(okay it feels like an eternity)....you'll be graduating and stressing over your nclex coming up !! ha!!! i can remember being at your point.... i had to move 3 hours away ...sell 1/2 i owned to get there, etc...to go..and i remember that orientation ...and those first few days of school = actually the first few days were the best...and of course...the last few!!! everything else in between was tough!!!! but i made it and so will you w/lots of studying and effort! i was on a wait list for a year before getting in once i finished prereqs...so it's been about 5 years since i started my 2 year program..what with 2 years of prereqs just to get in and then a year on the wait list; and the school has sinced gotten rid of a wait list...whew i just made it in time! it's hard to get in - i know...so congrats. you did it! keep going! (trust me...you'll want to quit more than once during your schooling....but don't. just keep going.)

ps ... let me give ya'll a word of advice for when you enter ns...dont listen to the rumours as they filter down the grapevine to your quarter/semester .... about "oh, this one is so hard..." "oh that instructor is... so... bad...or ....etc.." because.... you will always have your own experience regardless of what someone else did...or said. i excelled in one of the hardest quarters in the program where i heard it was the worst...it was my very favorite and i did the best and yet... so you see... dont listen to the rumours. remember, you will have your own experiences, always. just keep on going...and do the best you can..and dont give up the dream. don't quit. you can do it...you'll surprise yourself sometimes what you pull off!! you'll surprise yourself how, when you have nothing left in you and are so burnt out, you manage to keep going...and when you think a test is a monster, how you manage to remember things down in the depths from somewhere...go with that!! don't expect to be a straight a student...be glad when you get a c...or a b...etc... b/c let me tell you, being an a student is nice for books...but, doesnt mean you are any better a nurse - and many medical pro's will tell you likewise. bookwork doesn't make you a good nurse, your being conscientious, and careful, and caring....does. so hang on....and do it. and lastly, if you have to repeat a quarter/semester, do it. some folks do...and they make it...so don't quit. (i didnt repeat but...i had several in my class who did and they are still there and are close to graduating.... b/c they hung in there).

good luck! in 2 years...you'll be ready for your nclex and sick over that! ha!!! :)

sorry but i had to let everyone know....i got accepted into the nursing program over at houston community college!!! i'm so excited!!!! ahhhhhhhhhh what a relief i can finally sleep better at night! take care yall!!! and good luck to everyone!!!

What date did you take the HESI? I took it July 11 and still have not heard anything. Did you call or receive a letter?
