I get that it's the end of the school year (11 more wake ups!), and we are all tired, and all that jazz, but seriously?????? (should probably put this in the C'mon now thread)
1st grader comes in because her friend scratched her arm - small, less than 1/4 inch, mildly red (barely) mark on her arm. No break in skin. No bleeding. Seriously, Teach, you couldn't have sent her to the bathroom to wash this and called it good?
So, the kid sat here for 1/2 hour while I took care of a kinder kid vomiting, a 1st grader with a potty accident, a 5th grader without pink eye (of course, what do I know, I'm only the nurse), and two 1st graders who bumped their head at recess.
