I am so confused, what will i do?
i have applied last march 2012 for the pre-employment training of SLMC but i was not contacted thereafter, i assumed that i failed the exam and did not bother about my application. last April 24 i received a SMS inviting me for their PGNT that will be starting on May7. I failed to come for the orientation because of some personal reason, but i visited the HR to know if there's still a slot because i was eager to join.. the HR answered me that they no longer have any orientation of the MAy7 batch, next batch will be on june but no guarantee if i will be included... so i went home thinking no chance at all. btw, i am from iloilo and i already have my applications there and will be starting my volunteer service on that same date MAy7. Just this AM i received a SMS from their HR, telling me there is still a slot for the PGNT training (maybe some of those who attended their orientation did not pursue it bcoz of the training fee so there were slots available). I AM SO CONFUSED... will i go there and pursue the training although i only have less than a week preparation or just go home to iloilo and attend my orientation for volunteer service on MAy7?? pls help. :uhoh21:
Cynica, I'm also included in Batch 13-02. Maybe we'll start last week of March or 1st week of April, since 13-01 just started their Phase 1 last Jan 31 :)katawang_pangromansa, I'm included in Batch 13-02 :)
Sir, would you happen to know if the orientation would be held at a much earlier date(days/weeks prior to the actual start of the PGNT)
Hello there, jazz_08. Speaking through my own experience, I passed my credentials early November. Then I was notified around Mid January for the exam/interview and luckily I was included in batch 13-02. I could not speak for the others for I only have my first-hand input as my basis but I do think that the wait might possibly be quite lengthy so I suggest you take this opportunity to apply to as much hospitals as you can while waiting for st lukes.
I dont think theyre that particular with your rating. Mine is 79.2 but I still got in though, no hospital experience at all since passing the boards, not so good grades, my batch ranking was below average, though my school where i graduated from has a good reputation. But i don't think it makes much of a difference. I personally think you'll do fine and i think your experience would be an advantage, its just that theres a long line of resumes that have been submitted before yours and you have to be willing to wait for a couple of months. Other than that, there's nothing to worry about.
thank you very much again. you've already answer all my questions that burdens me right now. its a big comfort for me though there still a lot of applicants that trying their luck to penetrate on this hospital.
ive read that your newly included trainee on SLMC, well then gudluck my friend!
