Hi all,
Just thought I would start a thread to see who applied for the upcoming 2018 cohort. I also wanted to check in and see how your experience has been so far through the application process. As for me, so far, I think I'm doing really well! I scored a level 2 on the RN fundamentals exam, had a great interview, and now I'm locked in with my finances. Just waiting for the phone call from SJVC to tell me if I've been accepted or not.
I believe there are only 24 seats for the bridge program and over 100 applicants. It's more competitive than I thought, especially because it's a private college.
We're supposed to hear by October 15th. Good luck to everyone!! :)
Hi. Yeah I wasn't sure if I should've called Mitzi or not about it. I wasn't sure how to approach it and now I'm wondering if I should have been receiving something this whole time and if I didn't respond to the financial emails if that is going to hinder my possible acceptance. It's all so nerve wrecking.
I started to figure it was for people who were most likely accepted. I can call her tomorrow. Also, was the email for finances for people who needed to still apply for financial aid or for sallie May.

The email was a reminder to have your finances ready. We were not required to respond to it but you can always ask. I called today to get an update on when notifications would go out and I was told they finished selecting applicants on Friday and would notify us this week. So I don't think it was send to people who were selected.

Everyone is supposed to receive that email regardless if accepted or not. Sometimes there are glitches between SJVC's server and personal emails so don't sell yourself too short :)
The finance email is just a reminder to have your finances in order prior to accepting the offer of being in the cohort. If you haven't applied for Salliemae, you should've had already spoken to someone in finances about how you will be paying (whether it's a personal loan or paying by cash). Hope that helps.
No I have not! I'm trying really hard to be patient and not call and check. But my goal to myself is..... if I don't hear anything today then I'll call tomorrow before lunch time.
I'm not sure the process when they call and offer a spot. I'm not sure if they knock out all 24 or if they have a process with each person. Oh goodness. I hope I get a call.

I'm so sorry for the late reply! Yes, I did receive an email regarding finances. Make sure to check your spam! Also, it doesn't hurt to follow up with Mitzi
