SJSU Spring 2017 (Questions/Comments/Concerns)

I looked around to see if anyone had started a thread but nothing

is the info about CPR on castlebranch? when is the deadline for CPR training?

I submitted it and I signed it electronically. It went through for me!

Just to make sure, a BLS Provider course through the American Heart Association should meet the CPR certification requirement right?

I know it mentioned doing both ACLS and PALS as an option, but from my understanding I can just do the BLS course. I don't want to accidentally take the wrong course :/

I'm not exactly sure if its supposed to say the exact thing, but it might be different since the explanation says that if you are doing it through the AHA it should be a Health provider course, it doesn't mention BLS except if its under ARC. I signed up with American Red Cross for a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class since its the only BLS course available under ARC. It's 85 bucks I assume BLS and BLS for health care providers are the same thing, anyone else?

Did you guys receive an email from SupportFormFox? If you did, was it just to set up an appointment for the drug test or was there anything of importance? I assume we can just do a walk in for the drug test as well, right?

Did anyone submit the background check yet? Did you sign it electronically or printed it out? Every time I try to do it electronically, the website just refreshes

Everything is due on January 5th, make sure you take the correct course, they have them regularly so you can sign up for any day that's available. I already signed up for Nov 30 with the American Red Cross for a BLS for Healthcare Providers course

I was was provided with a link to do the drug test through Quest Diagnostics. They do accept walk-ins but recommend an appointment. CastleBranch also has a form to download in that section with a barcode.

I took the ARC BLS for Healthcare Providers. I think you're good to go

To the best of my understanding, the requirement is for "CPR" must be AHA but if you're going through ARC be sure it's BLS.

I took my CNA at ARC. All jobs I applied to required BLS

Alright thanks for confirming. I just wanted to make sure cause you cant be too careful. So ARC BLS for Healthcare Providers has a few spots for Wednesday if anyone else is interested.

Where it is at? for the CPR class?

ARC is the American Red Cross in San Jose. There are other locations too with different days and times :)

thanks! I was so confused what you guys were talking about at first. But, in simpler terms, we need a CPR certificate that's Basic Life Support (BLS) aka Healthcare Provider CPR from either American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) correct?

I had taken a CPR class at SJSU from ARC but it's not for a BLS... but for Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED... which I am fairly upset about since I had to pay $45 dollars for and spent 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon for.

Thanks for the clarifying everyone! and by the way have you guys receive your email from SupportFoxForm (something like that) yet?
