SJSU FALL 2021 BSN

Published

Hey Guy! I am creating this for those applying to SJSU Fall 2021 nursing program. I wanted to see what the applicant pool looks like! Here's my stats so far:

Big 5 GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 80%

Impaction score: 6.66

I don't feel so confident due to how competitive it's been :/

Oh also, if you don’t mind sharing, what were your stats? Thank you!!

My stats were 3.92 GPA + 89.3% TEAS score. I got a B in Microbiology but I guess I still got in!

It’s real - I got one as well. Apparently there are a lot of spots available.

I JUST turned mine down to accept a spot at SFSU so another one of you should be getting an acceptance soon!

@carlierose4Did you happen to know your place in line?

Thank you!! Unfortunately no. They never notified me about my spot on the waitlist, in fact, I didn't even know I had a spot in line since all they sent before was a rejection email

Unfortunately, no. In fact, after my initial rejection I emailed to clarify that I in fact did NOT make the waitlist cut off and she confirmed this was true. So, very confusing. But my GPA was a 3.86 and I got an 89 on the TEAS.

@carlierose4 thanks for the reply! I also got a rejection letter and I’m glad to see that they’re starting to accept some people who were initially rejected. I wonder how far down they’ll make it.

@carlierose4 or @okangela When is your deadline to fill out the response form and accept their spot in the program?

She said two weeks but after two days (when I was trying to make a decision) I was getting multiple phone calls asking me to respond (which I did at the end of the second day)

Hey guys! Do any of you know where the clinical sites are? If so, are they just inside San Jose?

In the acceptance email, there is an attachment with a semester 1 schedule of classes. All of the clinical placements are outlined there with the names of the clinical sites. From there, you can Google their locations. ?

Hi everyone, so I got “provisionally accepted” and I started doing some of the items they want me to upload on that specific website. If I complete all of that, am I guaranteed a spot?

Hello! You being provisionally accepted basically means that you were accepted into the program, you just have to finish everything required of you such as all castlebranch requirements, the Google doc that confirms you want to attend the program, attending the August orientation, and basically the whole checklist they gave you in that provisional acceptance email.
