SJSU FALL 2021 BSN

Hey Guy! I am creating this for those applying to SJSU Fall 2021 nursing program. I wanted to see what the applicant pool looks like! Here's my stats so far:

Big 5 GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 80%

Impaction score: 6.66

I don't feel so confident due to how competitive it's been :/

I think it’s odd that they sent you this before decisions even came out, but I noticed that they told you “supplemental course” requirements. Just a guess, but did you fill out a course substitution form for classes? Maybe that didn’t go through which is why they said you didn’t meet the course requirements.

Thats an interesting thought. Ima check. Though, I really feel like they do infact start processing rejections before acceptances. I decided to take a chem major at sac state and then do an accelerated MSN

@alexwalters92 That is so odd.  You're certain that you completed all of the supplemental *corequisite* coursework (Psych 1, Chad 70 (or equivalent), Nutrition)?

I have completed all of these, am certain my application was valid and complete

Is anyone else dying with anticipation? xD

My thinking is that if we don't hear back today, it will be Monday since they probably don't work over the weekend. 

Also curious if anyone knows what a typical week will look like in the first semester-- 3 or 4 days of classes + clinical rotation = all 5 weekdays? Or less?

Me! Many things in my head right now. I am really worried that I would be in the "incomplete applications" list. ?

I would like to know about the schedule too but I couldn't find any information in the school website.

I must have read the instructions and my applications 1000x before submitting and I still feel this way ?

If I make it this semester, it’ll only be because I just barely made it... ?

Big 8 GPA: 3.86

TEAS: 88%
 

Already planning to retake the TEAS next month just in case I’m rejected.

Yes, to the "dying with anticipation". Every other forum I subscribe to is full of people feeling the same way. Checking every folder of my email constantly haha. I bet we'll hear back Monday. I'm also worried about an incomplete application but on mySJSU it says application complete. I applied with a 4.0 and a 92 TEAS. Hoping its enough, I know its extremely competitive. I also have 4.0 + 91.3 on the TEAS. My score is competitive...but the acceptance rate is so low. Good luck to all!

@poppy25 with those scores, I have no doubt that you’ll make it! Based historically on scores of admitted students anyway...

Yes, doubting they’ll email over the weekend, so Monday or later... ?

Got the impression that if your GPA is less than 4.0 and TEAS less than 90%, you’re lucky to get in.
