SJDC ADN FALL 2016

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for the people who are applying to San Joaquin Delta College's nursing program for FALL 2016 cohort. I know the application period is still a month away but I'm just so excited. I still need to take my TEAS. Maybe we can all get to know each other and compare scores?

Ummm...wth...these people have some serious nerve! First of all, they said they would send the info to the delta student email. I have nothing in my email. I would have never known it was posted to the 'status' page if it weren't for AN.

Second of all...wth...it is summer, people go on vacation, a little advance notice of due dates goes a long way. Things are due the 3rd, the 8th, the 13th. These dates cannot be correct!

I am extremely grateful that I got into another program. I will not be choosing Delta and I wish you all the best of luck with this program. I hope sooner rather than later they get their act together over there!

I know what you guys mean!!! I'm super, super grateful to have been accepted but they are making this process so much harder than it needs to be on us (financially and emotionally) I am still holding out for MJC but would hate to miss out on a for sure thing, I hate how I won't even know if I'm into MJC before I will have to spend almost $1000 for delta

Kristen.Rose Were in the same boat. I got asked for supporting documents from MJC but we wont know if were in until like June 18 or something so we have to pay now and do everything :/

I agree. I do not have anything else lined up but will not be attending Delta's program. No thanks Delta!

Ejcortes7, I was an alternate last semester and I don't believe I got the packet. With the way things are looking, there will definitely be a few alternates getting in!! Delta is VERY unorganized when it comes to their nursing/CNA program... I've been through their CNA, and my boyfriend is currently going through their Nursing. This is "normal" for them.... Although I do think something else is going on with their nursing department... í ½í¸¬ The DEAN of the Health/Science division is scheduled to teach (one of the classes) for first semester....... I don't think that's ever happened before í ½í¸³ Sooo kind of frightening! But anywho! For those that are tight on money but are still considering Delta, I know that "castlebranch.com", the website for our background checks/drug testing offers payments as an option! There's an extra $3 fee or something, but I believe you only have to pay 50% of the cost upfront..... So about $54 :)
