SJDC ADN FALL 2016

Hi everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for the people who are applying to San Joaquin Delta College's nursing program for FALL 2016 cohort. I know the application period is still a month away but I'm just so excited. I still need to take my TEAS. Maybe we can all get to know each other and compare scores?

Hello, I will also be applying. I am really nervous, but really excited. I also plan to apply at MJC. I have heard good things about MJC but not much about Delta. Has anyone heard anything about the program or know anyone who has gone through?

Hey! I know several people in the program at Delta and have only heard great things! Is there one program that you prefer to go to over the other?

My preference is Delta. I like that there is such a variety of choices for clinicals. I live in Tracy, so it would be more convenient. I cannot believe prereqs are done and its so close to application time! I took my Teas already so I am ready to roll :)

I know, it's so exciting! All of the clinical sites are so close choosing the Delta program would be an overall great choice! Did you also finish your AA while doing your pre-reqs?

Unfortunately I have a couple classes to take in Spring before I can apply for my AA. I am really hoping that I can get in without those points. I saw Pam the counselor and she figured out my points at 76 (85 on my TEAS and 4.0 GPA). Im hoping the gpa makes up for not having the points for the degree) Keeping my fingers crossed. What about you?

I was able to get my AA when I finished this month. I am sure you will be fine with 76 points! I going in with 83 points, but I am also applying to CSU Stanislaus. I am trying to figure out which program to choose, I am having a really hard time deciding.

I was initially going to apply to Stan State, but I decided to go the ADN route first and then get the BSN after. I am also working on the corequisites for the bridge program. I went back and forth on the decision too. Ultimately it came down to the 2 year program because of daycare expenses and my husbands work schedule. I think either is a great choice!

Hello! Nice to meet you too :) I am really happy to be done with the prereqs too. It almost doesn't seem real!
