hi, I am a 19 year old single mom. I am currently finishing a pca certificate program at Albany Technical College.:yeah: I am interested in pursuing a lpn diploma from the same school, but I am having trouble deciding whether or not I will be able to be successful in the program, being that I'm a single mom and all.:uhoh3: My daughter is 5 months....Are there any lpns who have finished their nursing program as a single mom?...was it difficult for you to juggle being a mom and going to school and studying?....any advice for me will be greatly appreciated.:)

i did my first semester GPA3.0 and im a single mom of 4 boys...poor and no a/c...oh and im in a trailer 3 bedroom one LOL..i have slept on the couch!

My 13 yrold has very higgh special menatl needs and hes violent at times as well as having tried to destroy my books by pouring cappicinno on them while i studied... and punching holes ion the wall just because he didn't get what he wanted and he didn't even knwo what he really wanted...i couldn't stop every time he wanted my attention and no i had no help no family nuthin...

Hence as i stated I have a GPA of 3.0....YOU will be fine just prioritize make sure u have daycare arranged and any friends or family to help in case ur wee one gets sick..keep up with thew assignments ...points really do count! Get tutors if necessary to help with study strategies and skills too if necessary don't wait to long for help! YOU will be OK!!!
