Hi,
Thank you for all that info. I think it's a bit scary to go to a school that does not guarantee clinical placement. I am a bit apprehensive about this school after hearing about this. I don't want to find myself struggling to get a place to do my clinical.

That is cool she was able to work through the program. Was she able to work as an RN during the MSN portion? If so, that would be cool and I'm sure it would help with the cost of living in Boston/tuition/other expenses.

Yep! I’m pretty sure Simmons requires you to work at least 8 hours a week as an RN while in the MSN portion, so it seems like they set you up well to somewhat support yourself financially once you’re past the NCLEX

If anyone has made a page or knows of one, I'd love to join. I am still waiting on hearing from some other places before I can make a decision, but I'd love to chat with admitted students and get a feel for it all. ?

Hello everybody! This is a bit different than the MSN program topic but I applied to Simmons back in December (by their December 15 priority nursing deadline, that I believe ended up getting extended to January 15) for fall 2021 into their BSN program as a transfer (2 year sequence) My status is still “Move to slate” and I am wondering if from your experience it’s a good thing I havent heard anything. They said decisions would come in mid February, so do you think that if I got rejected I already would have? And that they send out acceptances all at once? Thank you so much!

For those that received the merit scholarship, was this something you applied for specifically or was it awarded by Simmons based on their review of your application? Thanks in advance!! Just wondering because I would like to learn more about the scholarships out there for nursing students. Also, I received my packet/acceptance in the mail today!!

I got my packet too! And my scholarship was just based on application review but I know there are lots of external nursing scholarships out there!

I was just accepted into the program. I am really unsure if I should still consider this school. I read a lot of student reports saying that they hated this school. A common theme was that the school gave out of date content, they did not feel prepared for clinical, the instructors were not helpful, and that they regret this program. I was wondering what are some things you all have to say about this program. It would be great to hear from those who know people who have completed this program or have done a lot of research about this school.
I feel you on this! I too was accepted and I'm struggling to decide if this is something I should do. From the cost of tuition being so high, to them not awarding a BSN degree, to the very concerning reviews, I feel like this is a hard decision for me. What are your thought ?
