  1. I've paid the deposit and will also be moving to Boston. I'm from California.
  2. Thank you! I just went back to look that info up and you're completely right. I don't know how I missed that. Is anyone considering to continue into the DNP program at Hopkins after the Masters portion? Also for those that received the scholarship, is that a one time award or is that for each year?
  3. Has anyone paid the deposit or declined their acceptance? Just curious as to which programs y'all chose over Simmons? I am still debating between Simmons and another acceptance.
  4. Hi everyone, I got accepted and I am also from California. Is there a facebook group for this cohort? Also, I see someone posted that the estimated cost of attendance is around 130k? Is that just tuition or including room and board because I saw the estimated cost of attendance for the previous year was around 68k and updating it to the current cost per unit would put it to be around 75k. Thanks!!
  5. Same. So excited to hear from them and also to meeting you all.
  6. I got waitlisted and received a second letter that included the form necessary to save the spot on the waitlist. The form has to be mailed back to USD.
  7. According to the Simmons website (which is pretty hard to navigate), the pre-licensure portion is $1410 per credit hour and the post-licensure portion is $1210. There is a total of 97 units that I calculated from the sample sequence they have on the website. Summer terms are required I believe because it is listed in the sample sequence of courses. Also the deposit is due 3/15 so there is still time to attend the info session on 3/6 to ask questions before paying the deposit. Hope that helps! I just noticed someone asked about the part-time option and that is shown on the sample sequence after the pre-licensure part is complete. This is the document I'm referring to: https://drive.Google.com/file/d/1o9ovffgR7-KCOlBfnvaiDJWdtb_wAov6/view
  8. Hi, when you called to ask, did you or they specify if they help with placements for the entirety of the program or just the pre-licensure part?
  9. I have a friend attending NP school in the Boston area (not Simmons) and asked her if she has heard anything about the school. She says that she has heard good things about the school and that it is located in a great location near big hospitals and research centers. She says she is not too familiar with the program but did bring up the part about how Simmons does not help their students secure clinicals for the Master's portion. She said while this is something to consider, there are lots of options for the NP track so it should not be too difficult to find clinicals, but it will be time consuming and stressful. You might want to try the other thread for Simmons BSN program since this one is mainly for the ELMSN so we might not be too familiar with what is going on with the BSN apps.
  10. For those that received the merit scholarship, was this something you applied for specifically or was it awarded by Simmons based on their review of your application? Thanks in advance!! Just wondering because I would like to learn more about the scholarships out there for nursing students. Also, I received my packet/acceptance in the mail today!!
  11. I received the acceptance letter by email, but I didn't see anything about the merit scholarship. Is this something that you specifically applied for?
  12. Oh okay I was worried I was the only one. That would be nice. thank you!!
  13. Hi everyone, I still haven't received the confirmation that they completed the preliminary review for my application and I applied for the FNP track. Is anyone else in the same boat as me or should I be worried? I do not want to email them unless I really have to so I won't be bothering them. My app is verified on NursingCas though. thanks in advance
