Georgia has the longest wait of them all. It may be worth the plane ride to New York. Be mindful of the season. I went to Utica in Dec and it snowed 5-6 inches that weekend. I was scared they would close the airport but they handle that kind of weather all the time. Utica was a great testing site! Also the town was beautiful and had mountain veiws.
Silly me, I hear such great things about Utica, but I am Florida. The Atlanta location is closest to me.Thanks for my lesson!
I'm from FL too but it was cheaper for me to fly into NY and rent a hotel there than it was for me to drive to Atlanta (or even fly for that matter). Plus, since the NE region seems to process more people, I got to test earlier than those waiting for a GA date. It all depends on what works for you :wink2:
The reason for the longer wait for GA test sites is because some of the sites don't test every weekend -- I think Savannah only tests once a month -- and there are fewer sites in that particular Regional Performance Assessment Center (RPAC) than in the others. I believe the Midwestern Regional Assessment Center (MPAC) and Northern Regional Assessment Center (NPAC) both have 8 test sites, and the Southern Regional Assessment Center (SPAC) only has 4 test sites. NPAC seems to give dates more quickly -- I think a couple of the MPAC sites only test once a month.
