Sick and Tired of Waiting!!

I swore in last April to go onto active duty. I was told my assignment choice and tenative OBLC date would soon follow. Now I am only 2 months away from graduation and I still have nothing! What was the benefit of signing up so early? I haven't quite figured that out. I am a prior service AD army soldier and can't comprhend how screwed up this whole process has beeen. It seems to me there is a disconnect with those at HRC who are determining assignments and orders and the recruiters. Now I am contemplating a different service. If this is how I am going to be treated as a future officer, makes me very nervous. Anyone else experiencing this? I am curious if this is the case with everyone or am I being duped?

scout,

did you sign up 12 months prior as a early nurse - in order to get a lump sum bonus or repayment.. or as a nurse candidate where you get a monthly stipend?

I signed up 12 months early to get the bonus and loan repayment.

I don't think that the branch matters. I know a few of us on the Navy (blue) side of things have the same wait, wait and then wait some more. My packet was supposed to go up for boards jan for feb class, then feb for march class and now waiting and possible april ods. It is sooo ridiculous. I guess they send you through waiting forever. Most high school students are at home with there parents so even if they were delayed a few months they would proably sit home no responsibilites.

Now most of us have children, spouses to move get settled, etc. Its soo crazy. My whole house is all out of order. My son is with my mother since January and I haven't left anywhere yet. My husband dosen't know when bills will transition and each month I'm like "sorry honey we have another month to pay bills here".

I am in the ANCP too and everything is contingent on the passing the NCLEX. My husband in the Army too and he has already PCS'd to Hawaii! It is frustrating especially when you are trying to access information and there is no one available to help:(
